Medicare Intermediary and Carrier State Network (MICS) PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 21 August 2005
The MICS (Medicare Intermediary and Carrier State) Network was initiated in 2000 by ASHA and several state associations. The mission of the MICS network is to influence local public policy decisions that affect Medicare coverage and reimbursement of speech-language pathology and audiology services.

To date, 29 states have representatives that have been appointed by their state association presidents. The MICs representatives communicate via email and regularly scheduled conference calls. The network is chaired by ASHA’s Director of Health Care Regulatory Analysis, Mark Kander.
