Dear ArSHA Members! We know that you all know someone who has done something outstanding in the field of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Remember you can nominate those people for the following awards: AWARDS TO CONSIDER: I. HONORS OF THE ASSOCIATION: The highest honor given by ArSHA to a current, Active ArSHA member, in recognition of sustained and meritorious service to ArSHA and in any one or more of the following areas: 1) research and publications contributing basic or applied knowledge needed by the profession; 2) teaching in communication science and disorders; 3) clinical service to adults and/or children with communicative disorders and 4) service to ASHA and/or other professional national, state, regional or local organizations.
II. AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT: Awarded to those who have made outstanding and sustained contributions to the professions of Speech‑Language Pathology and Audiology, but who are not members or part of the profession.
III. OUTSTANDING CLINICAL ACHIEVEMENT: The awardee is selected by the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Foundation from persons nominated by state associations for the Clinical Achievement Award. It is given in recognition of outstanding recent projects contributing to the advancement of clinical practice in speech‑language pathology and/or audiology.
IV. MOLINE MENTORSHIP AWARD: In memory of Marilyn Quintana Moline, this award recognizes a current, Active ArSHA member, who best exemplifies the qualities of a mentor. Defined as a wise and trusted counselor or teacher, especially in occupational settings, Marilyn typified this description, in her skills in clinical direction and supervision. As a mentor to many during her career, it is hoped that this award will honor both her memory and the tradition she established. We look forward to receiving your nominations by the March 15, 2007 deadline.
