Brennan is a three year old male, Native American (Tohono O’odham) who lives on the Indian Reservation. He is an only child and is diagnosed as Autistic. He has a very supportive mother and father who are active participants in his therapy program. Brennan lives in a small, very remote village some 90 miles from Sells, Arizona. He is more fortunate than the majority of the individuals who live on the Reservation. Brennen is able to attend a pre-school/day care program at a Head Start Center near his village. Nearly 65% of the Native American children who live on the Reservation do not have access to schooling prior to Kindergarten. He is in school Monday-Friday from 7:30 – 2:00. The school curriculum is a mixture of learning about basic health and hygiene issues and some pre-school academics. The major benefits for Brennan are:
