AAC Assessment: Good to Great
Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies can provide individuals with complex communication needs access to effective, functional communication. However, negotiating the broad array of AAC systems available to find the appropriate solution can be perplexing. This workshop will address AAC assessment for professionals at all levels, be it the specialized assessment team, or the general practitioner – no matter what their role in the assessment process.
January 31, 2009 Technology Tools for Students with Special Needs: An Essential Guide for Classroom Support
- Participants will understand the SETT framework and its applications to classroom environment
- Participants will consider assistive technology on the IEP: a Practitioner’s Paradox
- Participants will develop an essential toolkit approach: examples, uses, procedures
- Participants will identify classroom applications
