There were lots of cheers at the ArSHA Annual Business Meeting on Saturday, May 2, 2009. The new ArSHA Executive Board members were introduced. They are:

The Board will assume leadership effective July 1, 2009.
President Venkatesh bestowed the President’s Award to two outstanding
individuals who worked tirelessly to organize and promote this
convention to fruition. Kudos to Joanne Phillips and Alice Schnepf.
This year’s Honors of the Association was awarded to Amy Heck. Amy has
served ArSHA in various capacities and her “can do” focus has resulted
in ArSHA’s matters getting done. Well deserved Amy!
Recognition was also given to those individuals who brought an
extraordinary spirit to speech/language pathology and audiology. This
year’s winners of the James Case Student Clinical Awards are:

Last but not least, the recipient of the 2009 ArSHA Child of the Year
is 5 year-old Liam Hamm. Liam exemplifies the positive changes that
can occur through early intervention and collaboration between parents
and professionals.
