Introduction. In this article, we review and discuss information about evidence-based practice (EBP), the nature of evidence, the replication and integration of clinically pertinent research literature, the use of evidence-based practice in speech-language pathology, the role of teamwork in EBP, and criticisms of EBP. Culture, oral motor exercises, and witchery are considered. We use “client” rather than “patient” except when citing or discussing a publication.
