President’s Message On behalf of the ArSHA Executive Board, I extend hearty greetings for the New Year! May this year overflow with fulfilling experiences for you. In December of 2006, the Audiology Task Force was already garnering its energies in preparation for the time when House Bill 2439 would be in legislative hands. The New Year began and the Bill is now in legislative hands. Audiologists and ArSHA lobbyist Jason Isaak have been busily monitoring and discussing the intricacies of getting this Bill passed. I have been privy to the flurry of e-mails between the members of the Audiology Task Force and I marvel at their enthusiasm, camaraderie, and comments. ArSHA President-Elect, Audiologist Debra Venkatesh is out of the country for a couple of weeks and I can imagine the amount of e-mails awaiting her. Read the current information about House Bill 2439 on the ArSHA website AND please contact your legislator in support of this Bill.
