Title: Multi-Tiered System of Language Support: The Possible Reality!
Session Time: 1:00-4:15
Cost: $40 for Arizona Residents and $80 for non-Arizona Residents
Too many students, especially those with language impairment or who are culturally and linguistically diverse, do not sufficiently comprehend what they read. Students who are at risk of reading comprehension problems can be identified and helped long before reading comprehension problems emerge. However, educators need measures and intervention curricula to promote language comprehension before language differences and difficulties transform into reading comprehension problems. In this course, a solution to this problem will be described using research based case example and recommendations for building capacity for MTSLS in schools.
