Reading comprehension problems for readers with ASD are often overlooked, masked by strong decoding skills/hyperexia. This seminar will provide an overview of how the core deficits of individuals with ASD impact on the development of reading comprehension followed by demonstration of assessment and intervention strategies for facilitating comprehension for children and adolescents with ASD.
At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
