ArSHA has been contacted by members requesting guidance on the potential impact the pending teacher walkout might have on their professional standing with the association. It is our professional and legal obligation to ensure that we maintain compliance with IEP service minutes and IDEA-mandated due dates. Therefore, the decision to participate is at the discretion of the individual member and provision of services should be planned accordingly. ASHA’s President, Elise Davis-McFarland, will be providing additional guidance on this issue in the next few days.
