Our July Highlighted Member is Sarah Dachtyl
Sarah Dachtyl is ArSHA's July Highlighted Member. Dr. Dachtyl will be speaking at the ASHA Schools Connect Conference this summer in Long Beach! Her session is titled “A Proactive Team Approach for School Reintegration for Students with mTBI.” Stop by to see her in person or attend the virtual option. Sarah has worked as an SLP since 2003 in medical, private practice, home health, and school settings. She is currently the lead SLP in the Sahuarita Unified School District and is serving as ArSHA's Vice President for Speech-Language Pathology.
Our June Highlighted Member is Kristen Valenzuela
Kristen Valenzuela is currently a 2nd-year SLP, working at a K-6 elementary school in Marana Unified School District. Previously, she worked as an SLPA for 5 years in a neighboring school district while pursuing her master’s degree. She stated "I am humbled by the unique opportunities to collaborate with families and assist my students with their dynamic communication needs that also challenge my clinical problem solving skills. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, participating in outdoor activities, and traveling whenever I can! "
Our April Highlighted Member is Misty Elsby.
Misty Elsby is a speech-language pathologist and a Certified Orofacial Myologist®. She has extensive training in early childhood intervention and oral motor disorders, assisting patients with reducing tongue thrust, improving tongue posture, and pre/post-tongue tie releases. She moved from Texas in the summer of 2022 (howdy!) and loves exploring the area by providing in-home services in Oro Valley. Virtual services are also available across Arizona and Texas.
Misty aims to provide evidence-based, individualized, and play-based therapy services to children with speech, language, and myofunctional disorders. Misty is an advocate for early intervention and passionate about working with children and their families in a one-to-one setting. She loves collaborating with other professionals and is excited to be a part of your team!

We are excite to announce ArSHA's first highlighted person!
Keila Gutiérrez is a Tucson-native, bilingual (Spanish/English) speech-language pathologist. As a Bilingual SLP Keila aims to provide specialized and high-quality speech therapy services for children with speech sound disorders (ages 3-15). She has always dreamed of owning a private practice and feels fortunate to have the support of loved ones & colleagues. She serves clients in-home in the Tucson area and via telehealth across Arizona. She would like to encourage all members to join ArSHA, get involved in a committee, and pursue their SLP dreams!
