An Update from the SLPA Committee about ASHA Certification of Assistants

ASHA’s new Assistants Certification Program launches on December 15, 2020. Assistants will be able to earn the Certified Audiology Assistant (C-AA) or the Certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (C-SLPA) credential—and position themselves to embrace new career opportunities and to stand out among their peers.

Here are a few of our most frequently asked questions to help your assistants continue preparing for certification!

Where can I find the C-AA and C-SLPA applications?

The applications will be available on the About Assistants Certification webpage.

How can I submit my transcript for my application?

Electronic transcripts will be accepted directly from the institution and can be emailed to assistants@asha.org.

An applicant cannot directly submit an electronic transcript; it must come from the institution itself. Official paper transcripts can be mailed by the applicant or the institution and can be sent to ASHA, 2200 Research Blvd #313, Rockville, MD 20850.
