An Update from the SLPA Committee about ASHA Certification of Assistants
|ASHA’s new Assistants Certification Program launches on December 15, 2020. Assistants will be able to earn the Certified Audiology Assistant (C-AA) or the Certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (C-SLPA) credential—and position themselves to embrace new career opportunities and to stand out among their peers.
Here are a few of our most frequently asked questions to help your assistants continue preparing for certification!
Where can I find the C-AA and C-SLPA applications?
The applications will be available on the About Assistants Certification webpage.
How can I submit my transcript for my application?
Electronic transcripts will be accepted directly from the institution and can be emailed to assistants@asha.org.
An applicant cannot directly submit an electronic transcript; it must come from the institution itself. Official paper transcripts can be mailed by the applicant or the institution and can be sent to ASHA, 2200 Research Blvd #313, Rockville, MD 20850.
